The Schengen visa — a single visa that lets you visit 27 European countries with one approval. For Georgian travelers, it's one of the most common visa processes.

The Schengen Area includes: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.
The UK and Ireland are not part of Schengen. A separate UK visa is required.
Required documents
- Valid passport (3+ months validity)
- Photo — 35×45 mm, white background
- Filled-out visa form
- Flight reservation — booking confirmation (buy only after the visa is approved)
- Hotel reservation — or invitation letter
- Travel insurance — minimum €30,000 coverage
- Employment documents — employer letter + tax certificate
- Financial proof — bank statement for the last 3 months

Fee + timing
Standard visa fee — €80 + visa center service ~$25. Total ~$110.
Processing time — 15 days standard, often extended to 30 days. Apply at least 2 months before your flight.
If denied
Visa denials happen — statistically, 8–15% of applications are denied. Main reasons:
- Insufficient finances
- Unclear travel purpose
- Security concerns
- Past Schengen rule violations
