Brussels is the administrative capital of the European Union, home to NATO headquarters, and one of Europe's most cosmopolitan cities. A UNESCO-listed Grand Place, the best chocolate in the world, and more than 1,500 beer varieties — that is Brussels in a nutshell. From Tbilisi you need around 6-7 hours via a connection.

Once ETIAS launches (second half of 2026), an $8 online authorisation valid for three years will be required. Full details in Travel365's ETIAS 2026 guide.

Belgian food culture: chocolate, beer and waffles
Belgian gastronomy is non-negotiable in Brussels. More than 50 chocolate workshops ring the Grand Place — Neuhaus invented the praline here in 1912. Gaufres (Belgian waffles) are freshly made at street stalls: Brussels-style (lighter, crispier) or Liege-style (denser, caramelised). For beer, head to Cantillon for sour lambic or Delirium Cafe for a menu of 2,000+ varieties.
Budget
Brussels is a mid-range to expensive European city. A 3-star hotel near the centre costs $90-180/night; an Airbnb apartment $65-130; a hostel dorm $27-48. A restaurant meal in a Belgian brasserie runs $22-42 per person; the iconic Moules-Frites (mussels and fries) is $20-28. Eating one or two streets back from the Grand Place cuts prices by 30-40%.
