Georgia's biometric passport is one of the most travel-friendly documents in the post-Soviet region. As of 2026, it grants visa-free, visa-on-arrival or e-visa access to over 100 countries — saving travellers significant time and consulate fees.
Schengen Zone — 90 days in every 180
Georgian citizens can stay up to 90 days in any 180-day period across the 27 Schengen countries without a visa. This covers most EU member states plus Switzerland, Norway and Iceland.
ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System) is launching in 2025-2026. It is NOT a visa — it is a €7 online authorisation valid for three years. Every traveller to Schengen will need one after it activates.
