Doha is the capital of Qatar on the shore of the Persian Gulf, where ultramodern skyscrapers, world-class museums and traditional Arab markets meet. After the 2022 World Cup the city opened up to tourists even more. Here's how to reach Doha from Tbilisi and what to see there.

🛂 Visa and entry
Georgian citizens don't need to arrange a visa in advance to travel to Doha — Qatar grants visa-free entry on arrival for a short visit. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months.
Travelers flying with Qatar Airways can often use a free or cheap stopover program — a 1-4 night stay in Doha while traveling to another destination. Details are in the stopover programs guide.
From Hamad International (DOH) to the center: Doha Metro (Red Line) ~$1.50, 25-30 min; Karwa taxi ~$18-25. Details — DOH airport to the city center.

🗓️ Best season and practical tips
November-March is the ideal season: +20-28°C, pleasant weather. June-September is extremely hot (+40-45°C) and outdoor spaces are almost unusable. Plan your visit for winter — that's when both prices and weather are favorable.
Dress modestly in public places — Qatar is a Muslim country. For internet, get an eSIM in advance so you're online the moment you land. Doha is often combined with Dubai in one trip — both are Gulf cities and close to each other.
With a Qatar Airways stopover, see Doha 'for free' on the way to Europe or Asia — compare flights on Travel365's price calendar.
