Cheap flydubai tickets cut the cost of flying from Georgia to Dubai and on to Asia and Africa. The airline is based at Dubai International (DXB), and the TbilisiβDubai flight takes roughly 3.5-4 hours. This guide explains how to pick the right fare so you do not overpay.
π« Fare types: Lite, Value and Flex
flydubai offers several economy fares. Lite is the cheapest and usually includes hand baggage only, while Value and Flex add checked baggage, seat selection and more flexible conditions. The exact contents vary by route and date, so check what is included before you pay.
On a Lite fare, pay close attention to the cabin bag size and weight β exceeding the limit at the airport is expensive.
π΅ What it costs and when it gets cheaper
A return TbilisiβDubai ticket is often roughly $150-300, and prices rise in the winter high season. Summer fares are often lower because of Dubai's heat. To find the cheapest date, use the price calendar and look at mid-week departures.
𧳠Baggage fees
Baggage is the most common extra cost, so add it when booking rather than at the airport. For general strategy see How to Save on Baggage Fees and Avoid Extra Charges, and for other add-ons read Airline Extra Fees: What Gets Added to Your Final Ticket Price.
π Connecting in Dubai
DXB is a convenient hub: on one ticket you can continue to India, East Africa and other destinations. See how the savings work in Connecting via Dubai: How to Save on Airfare, and read about the airport in Dubai Airport DXB 2026: Complete Guide for Georgian Travelers.
βοΈ Comparison with other low-cost airlines
flydubai's model resembles other low-cost carriers: a low base fare with extras charged separately, although some fares offer fuller service. - Check in online to avoid the airport check-in fee
- Choose a connection time in Dubai that is not too short
- Route availability changes by season, so check in advance
