Anyone driving to the airport for a flight faces one more question — where to leave the car, and for how much. Parking rules and prices at Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi airports differ quite a bit, so a little planning ahead can noticeably cut the cost over several days.
🚗 Tbilisi Airport (TBS)
- The drop-off/pickup zone is usually free for 10-15 minutes — enough for a quick stop
- The covered multi-level garage next to the terminal costs ~$1-2/hour, with a daily rate around $9-13
- An open-air lot slightly further from the terminal is cheaper, ~$6-7/day, with a shuttle or a short walk
- Booking online in advance often cuts the rate by 10-20%, especially for stays of 5+ days
✈️ Kutaisi (KUT) and Batumi (BUS) airports
Both regional airports are much smaller, and parking is correspondingly simpler and cheaper — usually an open lot right next to the terminal.
- Kutaisi (KUT) — daily rate ~$4-6; the lot fills up fast thanks to Wizz Air's many low-cost routes, so arriving early or booking ahead saves stress
- Batumi (BUS) — daily rate ~$3-5, with demand rising during the summer tourist season
💡 How to save
- For trips longer than 5 days, do the math — a taxi or Yandex Go drop-off and pickup is often cheaper than a week of daily parking
- Booking online through the airport's site or app is always cheaper than paying on arrival
- Overstay fees are usually higher than the standard hourly rate — set a reminder for your return date so you don't run over
Traveling as a group? Arriving in one car and splitting the parking cost is often cheaper than booking several separate taxis.
