Traveling around Georgia's public holidays has become something of a tradition — a short day off easily stretches into a 3-4 day trip, and airfares climb right along with it. Here's a full look at the stretches of the calendar where booking early actually pays off.

🌸 The May cluster — one of the busiest stretches of the year
May 9, 12 and 26 fall a few weeks apart, but together they turn the whole month into travel season — plenty of people fill the working days in between with vacation days for one long stretch. Prices spike hardest around May 24-27, once Independence Day stacks on top of the departure days.
If you're traveling in May, book at least 6-8 weeks ahead, or fly out on May 26 itself rather than the days just before it — it's often considerably cheaper.
🍇 Late August and the autumn holidays
August 28 (Mariamoba) already falls in the peak summer season, so it doesn't add much on top of already-high fares. October 14 (Svetitskhovloba) causes only a mild bump, since it's a single day off. November 23 (Giorgoba), on the other hand, sits in the middle of the low autumn season and is often one of the cheapest windows left before year-end — unless it happens to fall on a weekend.
